Once again a new report is painting another bright picture of Idaho's economy. Construction in Idaho is leading the third-highest rate of job growth among the 50 states. Employment grew 4.9 percent during the last quarter of 2005 and there doesn't appear to be any slowing down on the horizon. "To say that Idaho's economy is growing robustly would be an understatement," said John Anderlik, acting regional manager for the FDIC's division of insurance and research in San Francisco. Boise construction is also beating predictions. A total of $35 million in building permits were issued last month and permits in April are expected to exceed that number. Even multi-family housing projects saw a strong month and will again. In addition, construction will resume on the much anticipated Boise Tower, adding even more character and flavor to Boise's envied downtown. Looks like Spring 2006 is off to an exciting start in the Treasure Valley!
