Economic Outlook

The Treasure Valley economy continues to grow and remain strong. State officials recently reported that exports by Idaho companies set a record for the 2nd straight quarter as sales during the April through June period topped 1.1 billion. "When the 1,300 Idaho businesses that peddle goods and services overseas have a banner year, it is good for the entire Idaho economy," said Gov. Butch Otter. In addition, the Idaho Department of Finance shows that overall business filings grew. Continued growth in Idaho was strong with 152,000 registrations during the fiscal year which ended in June.
