The Treasure Valley seems to be immune to the housing bubble burst! Home sales continue to rise in both Ada and Canyon Counties, while unemployment is at an all time low and wages continue to climb. The city of Eagle and the Treasure Valley can look forward to a recreational playground in the very near future. Eagle Island State Park will soon be undergoing a major transformation. Gov. Jim Risch and other officials recently announced an expansive new master plan for improvements to the park. Additions and improvements will include a Open-Air Amphitheater that will seat 750 people, Ornamental Gardens and a Special Events Center, areas for hike-in, kayak/canoe and recreational vehicle camping, a dog parkand much, much more. The ultimate goal of the transformation is to create a "unique Idaho experience for everyone who uses it," said Gov. Risch. Canyon County can look forward to some new shopping. Sam's Club and Wal-Mart are scheduled to open October 12th. Both stores can be found on Franklin Rd in Nampa, just off the I-84 Garrity Exit. The Treasure Valley has never been better!
