August's Economic Outlook

This month's economic outlook is sizzling! From the new additions to the Central Valley Corporate Park in Meridian to Sterling Savings Bank making their mark in the valley, growth in the Treasure Valley seems to be endless! Rafanelli & Nahas expect to complete a new 14,500 square foot office building in Meridian, along with signing office tenants for the building. The new development can be found at 690 Industrial Way in the Central Valley Corporate Park in Meridian. Sterling Savings Bank aims to grow its Boise area presence. Chairman and CEO Bill Zuppe said the Spokane based bank couldn't be more pleased with early performance at the business-banking center it opened in the Veltex Building in downtown Boise in April. Sterling plans to expand throughout the Treasure Valley within the next 2-3months, which could mean 25-30 new Boise-area jobs. A 116-room Cambria Suites hotel is planned northwest of I-84 and Vista Avenue Interchange. The four stories, 78,200 square foot hostelry - one of the first to open under the Cambria Suites name - is planned at Elder and Shoshone streets, a quarter mile west of Vista. The Summit Group will operate the hotel, along with the group's other hotels, the Hampton and Fairfield Inns. "Business at the Summit Group's other two hotels has been fabulous." The same is expected for the new, upscale, Cambria Suites Hotel. What a fabulous outlook ahead, keep it up Boise!
