September's Economic Outlook

Boise is certainly developing a reputation for a favorable place to live and work and, in addition, all the recent buzz has sure put Boise on the national radar. Perhaps that overwhelming success vibration throughout the Treasure Valley can be attributed the recent visit from our nation's Commander in Chief, or maybe it's just more evident growth throughout the valley. No matter what it is, it makes all of us proud to call Boise home. A sure sign of the valley's growth and vitality will soon be found in Meridian at the Southwest corner of Eagle and Fairview Ave. Blue Ribbon Artisans plans to develop the area into a $5 million artisan food complex. The Boise group plans a creamery and several shops. "We want to give Boise a unique mix of local, fresh products," said Steve Koritansky, managing partner of Blue Ribbon Artisans. Look for ground breaking on this great project later this month. In addition, grand openings and new businesses can be seen throughout the Boise area. Syringa Bank will break ground in Eagle this month. Syringa Bank is looking forward to opening its full-service branch with a drive-up in Eagle, as stated in a recent press release. Syringa won't be the only new branch in the west end of the valley; Idaho Independent Bank has opened a new branch in Star. In addition to those new developments throughout the Treasure Valley, there are also several professional conferences and seminars this month, including The Business and Professional Women's Leadership Conference, What's Up Boise Metro and the Boise Mayor's State of the City Address. For more information on any of the above mentioned seminars, speeches or conferences, visit www.boisechamber.org. Wow, what a month!
